Position Impact Speaker
Impact Statement Without the involvement of volunteer impact speakers who share their lived experience with chronic disease and major illness, we would not be able to carry out the work we do. Our volunteers are saving lives by sharing their experiences and their connections to health charities who are working to improve the lives of almost 100% of Canadians that will likely be impacted by chronic disease during their lifetime.
Description Impact speakers are individuals who have lived experience (including as a caregiver or family member or friend of someone impacted) with one or more of the 400 chronic diseases or major illnesses represented by HealthPartners’ 17 national health charity members. Impact speakers volunteer to talk to groups of employees at workplace giving campaigns whereby employees are asked to support HealthPartners and/or any of our 17-member health charities.
Training Details HealthPartners provides speakers with virtual web-based training, including workshops on effective story telling. We ensure our volunteers have all the tools and resources needed to be an effective and passionate Impact Speaker.
