COVID-19
In times of great need, many Nova Scotians want to find ways to help. Volunteer NS has opportunities for you to volunteer in your community while still following the public health directives put in place to keep you safe.
Here you’ll find opportunities to help with collecting, sorting, packaging and delivery of essential supplies – plus other community-based and hands-on opportunities that can be done safely within the COVID-19 public health guidelines.
There are many opportunities to support your community and give back without even leaving your home. (Note: Some opportunities may require special equipment, such as computers or printers.)
Tell us a little bit about yourself or your group – where you live, what you’d like to do and what skills you can provide – and we’ll help match you to an organization in need.
Maintaining a social distance of 2 meters or 6 feet is required under the Health Protection Act Order – and is the best way to manage community spread of COVID-19. Volunteer opportunities posted here must adhere to this directive.
We encourage everyone to stay up-to-date with the latest public health information through Nova Scotia’s COVID-19 site, as well as Volunteer Canada’s COVID-19 site.
