Position First Move Coordinator
Impact Statement As the First Move Coordinator at Shelter Movers:

- After 3 months of satisfactory service, a confirmation of volunteering can be provided.
- After 6 months of satisfactory service, we’d be happy to provide a personalized reference letter.
Description - Each month, the First Move Coordinator will be responsible for welcoming new volunteers to Shelter Movers and encouraging them to attend their first move.
- Provide support to new volunteers from the time they are fully onboarded until they attend their first move, by answering questions and sending follow up emails.
- Maintain an on-going list of newly onboarded volunteers and their availability.
- When necessary, provide information to new volunteers who are interested in administrative roles and facilitate the transition.
Training Details Shelter Movers volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, complete an interview process, sign a confidentiality agreement, complete and pass a police reference check, and attend a Trauma-Informed Care Orientation session. The First Move Coordinator will also receive additional role-specific training.
Working Conditions Remote work, candidates will need access to internet.

Time Detail Timing is flexible. Volunteers should be able to commit to approximately 5 hours per month.
