Description |
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will have an integral role on the Marketing and Communications team at Shelter Movers Nova Scotia. Their main responsibilities include participating in the development of marketing strategy and creating content to promote Shelter Movers Nova Scotia and its mission to the public. Other responsibilities include: - Participate in creative meetings with other volunteers - Brainstorm ideas for content to promote Shelter Movers and its mission - Write clear, concise copy and have the ability to adapt it for different platforms including; organic and paid social media, blogs, flyers, and other marketing assets - Assist with the management of social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling and community management - Have regular check-ins with Marketing and Communications Manager |
Training Details |
- A background in Marketing, Communications, Media Relations, Public Relations or Journalism is an asset - Professional experience using social media platforms, specifically Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to maintain a voice that is supportive, approachable, anti-racist, anti-oppressive, inclusive and accurate in all areas of communication - Excellent research skills and the ability to find accurate, credible sources and cite them correctly - Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite of programs, Canva, and Mailchimp is an asset |
