Impact Statement - Make a positive impact helping individuals and families transition away from violence/abuse.
- Gain experience in volunteer management and the nonprofit sector, with coaching and support from an experienced professional in the field.
- Receive training in preparation for your role, and have access to ongoing training opportunities.
- Work with a great team of passionate volunteers and supporters.
- After 3 months of satisfactory service, a confirmation of volunteering can be provided. After 6 months, we'd be happy to provide a personalized reference letter.
Description - Assist with the development and implementation of volunteer engagement strategies
- Follow retention strategy developed by the National Volunteer Services team to keep volunteers engaged with Shelter Movers
- Measure and analyze Key Performance Indicators as set by the Volunteer Services Manager
- Plan and lead volunteer events with the goal of increasing volunteer engagement (examples of events include trivia night, movie nights, panel discussions)
- Improve volunteer engagement with the Shelter Movers
Training Details Shelter Movers volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, complete an interview process, sign a confidentiality agreement, complete and pass a police reference check, and attend a Trauma-Informed Care Orientation session. Volunteer Services Engagement Coordinators will be completing additional role-specific training.
Working Conditions Primarily virtual position with some in person events depending on volunteer's location
