Impact Statement We are looking for volunteers to help out with our youth programs! Our youth programs help youth with an intellectual disability develop their fundamental movement skills (running, hopping, throwing catching, etc.) in a fun, social environment.
Description Head Coaches are responsible for planning and leading sessions, communicating with parents/guardians, storing and transporting equipment, and guiding volunteers. Assistant Coaches would take a leadership role with helping the head coach plan and run practices. Program volunteers assist the coaches run activities, help athletes one-on-one with skill drills and also participate in games to help encourage and engage the athletes.
Training Details Training and program guides are provided.
Working Conditions Below are the programs we are seeking volunteers for:

FUNdamentals (Athletes ages 7 to 12)
Program Volunteers
October 2019 to May 2020
Wednesdays 6:00 to 7:15PM in Lower Sackville

Youth MultiSport (Athletes ages 13 to 21)
Assistant Coaches and Program Volunteers
October 2019 to May 2020
Fridays 6:15 to 7:30PM in Lower Sackville
Minimum Duration More than 1 year
Timing Weekday - Evening
Age 13+
