Position In-School Mentor - In-School Mentoring Program
Description Do you have one hour per week? Do you like kids? Want to make a difference? You can be an in-school mentor! Mentors spend one hour per week with a child aged 7-12, hanging out on school property during school hours. During that hour you can do anything you both enjoy - draw, play games, go outside, build LEGO, or anything you like! Your job is to be an adult friend who a young person can spend time with and look up to.
Training Details All mentors receive "Safe from the Start" volunteer training from Big Brothers Big Sisters, which discusses mentoring, safety, and abuse.
Minimum Duration 4 - 6 months
Timing Weekday - Daytime
Time Detail One hour per week, during the school day.
Age 18+
