Description: Volunteers will engage and interact with children between the ages of 5-12 years. The Saturday Study Skills volunteer support classroom instructors in delivering weekly lesson plans that build on reading, writing and speaking English with immigrant elementary students.Lesson plans will focus on building self-confidence and interpersonal skills of participants, as well as enhancing their community knowledge and cultural awareness.
Training Details: Volunteer Orientation
Child protection Orientation
Working Conditions: Helping elementary school children. Indoors with few field trips outdoors.
Minimum Duration: 3 months or less
Timing: Weekend - Daytime
Time Detail: Saturdays from 9:30 to 12:30
Age: 16+
