Position Volunteer Coordinator
Impact Statement The Museum's Mission is to collect, preserve and exhibit the history of the Annapolis Valley from Windsor to Digby, and to tell the history of the Valley and it's people by collecting, preserving and interpreting artifacts, archival material and exhibits. Volunteers are needed to assist with collections management, fundraising activities and guest services.
Description Reporting to the Museum Director and/or Board, the Volunteer Coordinaotr is responsible for:
-Recruiting Volunteers
-Coordination of Volunteer schedules
-Facilitate orientation of Volunteers
-Providing ongoing support to volunteer group
-Acting as a liason between volunteers and the Museum Director
Training Details Training and Orientation to be provided by the Museum staff
Working Conditions The Volunteer Coordinator:
-is Organized
-Enjoys working with Volunteers
-Enjoys working with Public
-Has a basic knowledge of the Museum
-Has the ability to work independently
-Has the ability to multi task
Minimum Duration 3 months or less
