Position Research Library Volunteer
Impact Statement The Museum's Mission is to collect, preserve and exhibit the history of the Annapolis Valley from Windsor to Digby, and to tell the history of the Valley and it's people by collecting, preserving and interpreting artifacts, archival material and exhibits. Volunteers are needed to assist with collections management, fundraising activities and guest services.
Description Reporting to the Research Librarian and/or the Museum Director, the Library Volunteer:
-assisting members of the public, responding to requests for information
-returning books/maps to their proper places
-use of microfilm reader
-cleaning as needed
Training Details Training and Orientation to be provided by Museum staff
Working Conditions Volunteers must:
-enjoy working with the public
-have a basic knowledge of the Research Library
-have the ability to work independently and with Museum staff and other volunteers
Minimum Duration 3 months or less
