Position Front Desk Volunteer
Impact Statement The Museum's Mission is to collect, preserve and exhibit the history of the Annapolis Valley from Windsor to Digby, and to tell the history of the Valley and it's people by collecting, preserving and interpreting artifacts, archival material and exhibits. Volunteers are needed to assist with collections management, fundraising activities and guest services.
Description Reporting to the Volunteer Coordinator and/or the Museum Director, the Volunteer's role is to:
Greet the public
Answer phones
Handle and log small amounts of money
Log visitors, Groups or events on Daily Log Sheet
Take messages for Museum staff
Answer public inquiries
Refer issues to Museum Staff
Training Details Training and orientation provided by Museum staff
Working Conditions The Volunteer should be available 2-4 hours per week
Must enjoy working with the Public
Must have a basic knowledge of the Museum
Must be able to work independently
Must be able to multi-task
Minimum Duration 3 months or less

Age 16+
