Description |
Work in this volunteering stream is essential to delivering the dynamic program of events put on at Memory Lane Heritage Village throughout the year. Events are fundamental to attracting people from the local community and visitors from further afar, and are a significant contribution to the financial stability of the Heritage Village. Visitors to these events hugely benefit from and value their interactions with volunteers. Volunteers serve as the friendly face of the Village: engaging visitors, pointing them in the right direction, answering practical questions, and generally being warm and helpful. Roles include: - Admissions/Information Table Worker - Cash Handler - Creative Programming Worker (face painting, craft activities) - Greeter - Event Booth Worker - Event Setup/Takedown Support - Musician - Parking Attendant Some roles are suitable for young people, generally those 12-18 but we always approach age in relation to a particular role on a case by case basis. |
