Multicultural Playtime Society
As an organization we are pursuing to showcase and teach outdoor and indoor children’s games from around the world. In partnership with cultural communities in Nova Scotia, we incorporate games as pop-up playtime at playgrounds, daycares, community centers, libraries and school gyms in the HRM and across the province. We are a volunteer- community driven organization. Volunteers play and demonstrate games from countries of origin.
We believe our goals align UN Convention on the Right of the Child- Article 31 states
“That every child has the right to engage in play, and recreational activities appropriate to the age of the child and to participate freely in cultural life and the arts. That member governments shall respect and promote the right of the child to participate fully in cultural and artistic life and encourage the provision of appropriate and equal opportunities for recreational and leisure activity.
