4-H Nova Scotia
4-H Nova Scotia offers a family-oriented, community-based, youth development program. We help our members "Learn To Do By Doing" in a safe, inclusive and fun environment, while providing opportunities for leadership and life skills development.
4-H Nova Scotia is a registered charitable organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. 4-H Staff administer the operations on behalf of the Board. 4-H Nova Scotia has attained accreditation from 4-H Canada which provides access to branding, programming and support.
4-H Clubs are located in communities throughout the province and are guided by one or more General Leaders. At the club level, Trained Leaders provide instruction and hands on opportunities to explore project skills. Screened Volunteers support Leaders as additional helping hands and as supervisors to meet Youth Safety supervision ratios.
