OrganizationAutism Nova Scotia - ANNAPOLIS VALLEY
Position Event Planning / Fundraising - "Walk Your Way" Virtual Walk for Autism
Impact Statement "When I had the opportunity to choose my school placement, I really wanted to volunteer with the Annapolis Valley Chapter of Autism Nova Scotia because someone I love lives with autism. Little did I know, I would still be volunteering well after my school placement was finished!
I am proud to be part of an organization that embraces autism and offers support for the challenging aspects of living on the spectrum. I have met so many amazing people, and volunteering has allowed me to view life through a more meaningful lens - one that is unique, messy, beautiful, brilliant and quirky - a lens that is so touching. I consider it a privilege to be able to say that I volunteer with Autism Nova Scotia and I hope to be doing so for many years to come!" ~Kelly
