Impact Statement The MS Society provides services to people with multiple sclerosis and their families, and funds research to find the cause and cure for this disease. Volunteers are an integral part of our team, donating their time and talents as we work together to make a difference in the lives of people affected by MS. Every action taken is part of a collective movement to connect and empower the MS community to create positive change. We rely on the energy, passion, and skill of our volunteers to help us make a difference in communities across Canada and advance research towards a cure.

Description As part of the MS Walk Committee you will plan and execute an inclusive, engaging event to connect and empower the MS community in your region.

Below are the Committee Roles currently available!

MS Walk Stewardship Coordinator- play a key role in recruiting individuals and teams to take part in the walk.

MS Walk Promotions Coordinator- help get the word out about your local MS Walk through a variety of local marketing and promotion mediums.

MS Walk Sponsorship Coordinator- steward the participation of local sponsors to enhance the event experience.

MS Walk Volunteer Coordinator- work closely with the MS Society team to ensure we have support for the event day!

MS Walk Route Coordinator- play a key role in ensuring our participants have an enjoyable, accessible and safe route.

MS Walk Entertainment Coordinator- play an role in shaping the participant experience on site and on route.
Training Details Volunteers will be provided with training
Minimum Duration 4 - 6 months
Timing Weekday - Evening
Time Detail Time Commitment:
 Long term (November– June). Hours will vary based on the size of your community event. Hours will increase as the event approaches. We estimate these roles will take between 1 –3 hours per month.
 Meet online via Teams once or twice a month
 Must be available to attend the event at the end of May (May 28th) for approximately 8 hours.
