Position Y-STEAM Activity Designer - Y-STEAM Program
Impact Statement Step into the shoes as a mentor-scientist, whether that is at the Interdisciplinary Science Competition, our workshops, or our other programs. From volunteering as a Teaching Assistant for organic chemistry labs to travelling to junior high schools to conduct science experiments, we are looking for dedicated volunteers who is wanting to be a role model and make a lasting impact on the education of Canada’s youth.
Description Y-STEAM is a brand-new program offered by TeamUP Science in partnership with the Northern Alberta YMCA that aims to engage elementary-age students in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Weekly experiments will be designed for up to 90 students ages 5-12 and performed at 3 different YMCA locations.

Designer positions are open to individuals from all across Canada! Designers will work in teams of 2 to create 8-12 interactive activities over a period of 5 months. If you are creative and enjoy collaboration with others, this is the opportunity for you!
