Description: - Speak Korean
- Play Baduk or willing to learn
- Participate in recreational activities
- Interest in working with elderly
- Sensitive to the issues of persons with dementia
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience and a good sense of humor
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and non-verbal
- Organized and able to follow direction with minimal supervision
Training Details: General Hospital Orientation with Volunteer Services will be provided. A specific orientation and training will be provided by the Program Manager which will include an overview of the patient and resident population, tour of program area and introductions to staff. An opportunity to attend Dementia Education.
Working Conditions: Active and engaging environment
Minimum Duration: 4 - 6 months
Timing: Anytime
Time Detail: Volunteer Shift is once per week, 1 - 2 hrs. Flexible time, usually between 10:00 am - 7:00 pm, all week.
