Position Fracture Prevention Educator
Impact Statement By volunteering with Osteoporosis Canada you have the opportunity to impact the lives of those affected by osteoporosis. With your help, we teach Canadians how to improve their bone health so osteoporosis can never take hold. We support those already diagnosed, and work to improve their quality of life. Your commitment can affect those in your community or someone close to you.
Description Be trained to conduct education sessions on fracture prevention to seniors at seniors centers, retirement homes, active living programs, and many other community locations in any region within Nova Scotia. Help with sharing osteoporosis information by staffing tables at health fairs, community festivals and events.
Training Details Online training will be provided - max 2.5 hours to complete
Working Conditions Work in your own community and only volunteer as much as you would like!
Minimum Duration 4 - 6 months
