Position After School Program Leader - New Glasgow Academy After School Program

Impact Statement By sharing your time, you can improve the health of the children in our community by increasing their daily physical activity levels through active games, play and other activities.
Description The Town of New Glasgow is looking for volunteer leaders for the following After School Programs:

“Let's Get Moving" (November 25 - January 13)
“Snow Problem Staying Active" (January 22 – March 4)
"Girls on the Move" (March 23 - April 29)
"Summer Olympics"(May 11 - June 17)

Programs run on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00pm to 4:30pm at New Glasgow Academy (not including holidays).

Daily activities include meeting the children after school, serving a healthy snack, facilitating games and other activities and having fun!

Training Details Volunteers must supply a current criminal record check and a vulnerable sector check (available at your local police department) and must have a valid first aid/CPR certificate.

Costs for training may be covered by the Town of New Glasgow.
Working Conditions Indoor and outdoor (weather dependent) at New Glasgow Academy.
Minimum Duration 3 months or less
Timing Weekday - Daytime
Time Detail Mondays and Wednesdays 3:00pm until 4:30pm
Age 16+

Transportation Not on a bus route
