Position: 2020 NAIG Sport Team Lead - 2020 North American Indigenous Games
Location: Halifax, NS, Canada
Impact Statement: Working together with Venue Team (VTeam) and staff, the sport lead is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and staging of their respective sport competition during games delivery.
Description:  Ensure all PSO’s competition requirements are met or exceeded
 Responsible for the communication and facilitation of respective sport test events
 Ensure the training of minor officials for the test events and NAIG 2020 is completed
 Conduct thorough evaluation and devise a report on respective sport test events
 Responsible for the organization of the Sport Organizing Committee (SOC), identify and select Reps, and ensure ongoing communications
 Ensure all SOC Reps complete their assigned tasks in a timely manner
 Key liaison between SOC and VTeam
 Responsible for Field of Play (FOP) during games delivery and for directing setup and decommissioning following the games
Training Details: July 12-19, 2020 being held in Kjipuktuk (Halifax) and Millbrook First Nation.
Working Conditions:  Monthly committee meetings from August 2019 - May 2020, moving to weekly in June 2020
 Weekly tasks averaging 5-7 hours per week depending on scope of role and time of year
 Attendance at Mission staff and Executive Meetings may be required.
 In person, on site availability from July 12 - July 18, 2020.
 Availability 3-5 days post games to assist with venue decommissioning
Minimum Duration: 7 - 12 months
Timing: Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime, Weekend - Evening, Anytime
