Impact Statement Girls on Boards will be offering sponsored body positive youth stand up paddle boarding camps this summer and also SUP trips for local Nova Scotians in an effort to encourage healing and mental health. We need volunteers to help with our events for youth - equipment eco-friendly cleaning (keeping it COVID-19 safe) and help organize and support our empowering youth SUP programs. Yes, you'll get to paddle board too, all part of helping others and helping yourself.
Description We need YOU to help our SUP instructors take care of equipment, help with eco-friendly disinfecting equipment between users, help with our rentals program and help with managing our youth groups. This position will be on location, at Lumsdens Pond Provincial Park at our "hub".
Training Details Girls on Boards will train you in equipment management and managing rentals. Specific COVID-19 training as well. If you have First Aid training and full police checks, we will also train you to be an assistant for our youth programs. Opportunity to work on your paddle boarding skills will be available!
Working Conditions Must be able to physically lift 40lbs (paddle board weight), clean boards, carry them up and down from the water. Managing inventory, client safety checks.
Location is mostly outdoors. There is a storage container that can be used for shelter. Washrooms on site but limited/no cellular service at our location. Prepare for outdoor work!

Timing Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime
Time Detail We will have shifts available. Weekdays: 12-4pm, 4pm-8pm, Saturdays 9-12pm 12-4pm
