Description Do you want to use your social media powers to bring joy to people in your community? Kindness is contagious, and you can help spread it!

The Happiness Media Team is the promotional branch of The Altruistic Current Society, an incorporated not-for-profit society designed to inspire kind and altruistic actions through education, promotion, and community-led initiatives. We are looking for dedicated social media volunteers (age 16+) to help deliver a daily dose of happy content to the phones, tablets, and computers of Nova Scotians.

Happy Director of Social Media works together with the Head of Social Media and leadership team to co-create the campaign strategies, branding, and content themes. The Director is responsible for the searching, curating, and creating happy/positive content. They will find the inspiring and amazing people, groups, posts, videos, photos, Toks, stories and will create/schedule posts for multiple social media platforms.
Training Details Training on our social media managment software will be provided.

• Volunteering with the Happiness Media team is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking for communications and social media experience.
• Additionally, this is a valuable way to acquire part-time volunteering hours for university applications and scholarships. Reference letters will be provided for volunteers that have successful terms (3, 6, or 12 months).
•Flexible volunteer schedule: you decide when you work your weekly hour(s) (1-5 hours).
•Work with a group of friendly coworkers or work by yourself – your choice!
•Quarterly social with other team members.
