Position Activity Support Person - Learn to Boccia
Description Boccia (pronounced bot-cha) is a precision ball sport related to bowling or curling. Players sit on a chair or in their wheelchair and throw or roll their ball with the goal of landing it closest to the white “jack” ball. Originally designed for individuals with severe cerebral palsy, the sport has expanded and is now played by individuals with a wide variety of disabilities, mobility difficulties, and those that are able-bodied.

Volunteers are needed Thursdays 6:30-8:30 pm at Northwood in Halifax. Volunteers assist in refereeing games and acting as sport attendants to players (passing them the ball, aligning their ramp).
