Description: Haliburton Place is a Long-Term Care Facility offering residents the comfort of home through one on one personal care, recreational and social activities and outings within the community. The Games Program provides residents the opportunity to take part in a number of recreation games including cards, crib, board games, bridge, etc.,

-initiate a variety of games with residents 1 on 1 or a small group (including board games, skip-bo, crib, auction 45s, checkers, rummy, crazy eights, among others)
-provide support to the residents as they participate in the games
-responsible for the set-up and clean-up of the area where the games were played
Training Details: General orientation provided by Volunteer Services. Specific orientation provided by Haliburton Place - Recreation Therapy
Minimum Duration: 4 - 6 months
Timing: Weekend - Daytime
Time Detail: Saturdays/Sundays: 10am or 1:30pm or 6pm
(this volunteer role could take place weekly or twice a month depending on volunteer's availability)
