Description St. John Ambulance (SJA) Volunteer Medical Responders (VMR) are a group of uniformed individuals trained to a minimum of Standard First Aid, who volunteer their time to provide First Aid services at a wide variety of public events (sporting, cultural, musical, etc.). By being there, SJA volunteers are “first on the scene” in the critical minutes until medical assistance arrives.
Training Details Within one year of application date, you will be required to successfully complete the Advanced Medical First Responder level 1 qualification. This course is an advanced first aid course that gives volunteers the skills to act in a set scope of practice during an emergency situation.
Minimum Duration 7 - 12 months
Timing Anytime
Time Detail Events in our community happen everyday of the week and volunteers work around their availability and the event request times.
