Impact Statement As a volunteer you will support our services inside the shelter such as meals, donation sorting and our Deja Vu clothing room access. You may help on our fundraising projects or shape our work as a member of our Board of Directors.You may offer unique services to clients such as haircuts, yoga, spa activities and teaching a hobby.
Description Weekly/ Monthly Volunteer Opportunities with Adsum House:

Lunch or Dinner Preparation Volunteer - Lunch Prep is 10:00-12:00 and Dinner Prep is 3:00-5:00

Meals and Baking - Prepare meals or baked goods at home and donate for use in specific meals. Call ahead where possible to 902-423-4443.

Sorting Donations

Training Details We do a monthly Volunteer Orientation for all new applicants and train you with someone for your first 2 hour shift
Working Conditions Inside an emergency shelter for women, youth, trans and their children.
Minimum Duration 4 - 6 months
Timing Weekday - Daytime, Weekend - Daytime
Time Detail 2 hour shifts
7 days a week
Age 15+
