Impact Statement The vision of our Society is that green burial and other eco-friendly disposition practices are the preferred choice for Nova Scotians. GBSNS works to raise awareness and accessibility of green burial options in Nova Scotia. Through education and advocacy we help Nova Scotians understand and recognize the environmental benefits of green burial.
Description The Secretary works closely with the Board Chair in the planning of meetings and is responsible for
the creation and timely distribution of the board meeting agenda and minutes and Society membership meetings (AGM)

Updating, maintaining and safe storage of the Association's minute book and other legal documents such as incorporation documents, bylaws, insurance policies and important contract

Qualifications
clear understanding and a commitment to the mission of GBSNS
Preferably at least one year of relevant experience of working with a nonprofit Board
adequate level of writing proficiency and access to a computer for word processing
Training Details All Members have the full support of the board for training and ongoing support
Minimum Duration More than 1 year
Timing Anytime
Time Detail 8-10 hours per month
Age 16+
