Nova Scotia League for Equal Opportunities
The League takes a leading role and is a major contributor and catalyst to change as a cross-disability voice of Nova Scotians with disabilities. To carry out and achieve our mission, we identify, articulate, and/or act upon the issues in Nova Scotia that impact people with disabilities in their daily lives. We engage all levels of government to encourage, formulate, and propose workable solutions. Our objectives are to bring together organizations and individuals on issues affecting persons with disabilities; to act in matters pertinent to the lives of persons with disabilities; to act in an advisory capacity; and to promote necessary changes, both in government and private sectors to build capacity and strengthen the community.
